Part-time Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (Lake Forest, IL)

We are a well-established pediatric practice with locations in Libertyville, Lake Forest, and Barrington. We are seeking a qualified, compassionate individual who enjoys working with children to fill an RN or LPN position. Part-time position 24-32 hours per week including rotating Saturdays. Travel between the 3 locations is required.

A current RN or LPN license and BLS/CPR certificate required.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Administering immunizations
Performing routine diagnostic tests
Rooming patients
Taking vitals
Phone triage

In the office setting, under the direction of the providers, administers direct patient care, provides telephone triage and coordinates patient care needs outside the office such as diagnostic procedures and specialty referrals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides assessment of patients in the office and administers direct patient care as ordered by the provider.
  • Manages and documents incoming patient telephone calls and assesses need for patient appointments or delivers home care advice and management per printed triage guidelines or under the direction of a provider.

Provides patient/parent education on diagnoses and treatment, as per provider orders. Prepares and administers immunizations or other medications per office protocol and provider orders.

  • Assists in scheduling diagnostic procedures and referrals to specialists, per provider orders.
  • Monitors completion of ordered diagnostic tests and routes results accordingly.
  • Assists in communicating results to patient/parent and coordinates any necessary follow up.
  • Reviews incoming faxes and forms as well as specialist, hospital and emergency room reports and routes to appropriate provider for their review. Assists in any follow up as indicated by the provider.
  • Coordinates the ordering and administration of medications for specific patient populations.
  • Performs office lab tests as ordered by a provider and remains proficient in completion of tests.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment based on practice protocol.

Part-time Medical Assistants/Patient Representatives (Addison and Oak Park, IL)

Job Description

The first position is 32-35 hours per week. The second position is for 16-19 hours per week. Both positions include rotating Saturdays. Additionally the right candidate will be asked to work alternating Sundays from 9-1 at our AHC in Wheaton.

Travel between the Addison and Oak Park locations is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs vitals, rooms patients, gathers specimens, administers vaccines
  • Documents necessary information in the EMR.
  • Collect specimens, performs in-office lab testing and prepares specimens for outside labs.

Full-Time Nurse Coordinator (Crystal Lake and Barrington, IL)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Nurse Coordinator provides direct nursing support at all sites as needed, and is responsible for the overall training of clinical staff services. He/she supports the Practice Manager and staff in day-to-day operations.

Hours: Full-Time, 8:30 am- 5:00 pm,

*Occasional evenings and Saturday mornings

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Performs at a subject matter expert level on all nursing duties.
  • Supports and maintains the policies, procedures and regulations of the practice.
  • Assists in recruiting, provides training, orientation of staff, and maintains accurate staff training and competency logs including records of nursing staff licensure, CPR certifications.
  • Creates and monitors staff schedules in accordance to the needs of the practice.
  • Monitors patient schedules for accuracy and works collaboratively with front office team to correct errors.
  • Works cooperatively with the office staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Is fully versed in EMR and digital health workflows and initiatives and stays abreast of changes and updates to provide staff the most accurate coaching and training.
  • Orders supplies and equipment, trains staff to maintain accurate PAR levels and assists the Practice Manager in arranging repair and maintenance of equipment; maintains inventory logs.
