Lactation Consultant

At PediaTrust, we are committed to providing our moms with the guidance and support of the area’s most experienced lactation consultants. We have 18 pediatric office locations across the Chicago suburbs and offer lactation services at geographically convenient sites. We continue to expand lactation services making this a fantastic opportunity to work with families throughout the community in achieving their breastfeeding goals.

We are looking for a part-time experienced, certified lactation consultant who is interested in partnering with our dedicated group of physicians to help mothers on their breastfeeding journey.

Position Requirements:

  • RN required
  • Current IBCLC Certification
  • 2 years of experience as a Lactation Consultant preferred
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Comprehensive assessment and documentation of patient and family needs
  • Establishment of a plan of care that is communicated to and coordinated with the pediatrician
  • Documentation in EPIC

Office Coordinator (Wheaton, IL)

The Office Coordinator is responsible for the efficient operation of the front desk encompassing staff management and overseeing day-to-day operations in support of the clinical staff and business operations.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Hiring, training and supporting staff including the creation of staff schedules
  • Ensuring that staff have proper resources, supplies and equipment
  • Working with nursing to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Creating a pleasant and empowering work environment for staff
  • Coordinating with the billing office to ensure efficient and accurate business operations
  • Ensuring exceptional customer service for all visitors to the practice
  • Working with providers and management to ensure accurate and efficient scheduling of patients
  • Coordinating with computer vendors to ensure proper functioning of computer systems and hardware
  • Communicating with the Practice Manager on the status of front desk operations
  • Completing Patient Representatives duties as scheduled
  • Monitor office expenses
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • High School diploma required; Associates degree or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Knowledge of medical office operations including revenue cycle
  • Ability to train, monitor and evaluate staff and build a strong team of patient representatives
  • An understanding of the electronic medical record including scheduling, data entry and billing functions
  • An ability to problem solve effectively including data collection, consensus building, communication and implementation of the solution

Part-time Registered Nurse (Schaumburg, IL)

We are a well-established pediatric practice seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Registered Nurse who will provide our families a nurturing experience at every visit. This position is part time, 3-days a week and alternating Saturdays.

A current RN license and CPR certificate required.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Administering immunization
  • Performing routine diagnostic tests
  • Rooming patients
  • Taking vitals
  • Phone triage
  • Working closely with the physicians to maintain exceptional patient care

Part-time Registered Nurse (Wheaton, IL)

Nurse Coordinator (Highland Park and Vernon Hills, IL)

Our busy pediatric practice in the with offices in Highland Park and Vernon Hills, is looking for a full-time nurse coordinator to join our passionate team! The Nurse Coordinator provides direct nursing support at all sites as needed and is responsible for the overall training of clinical staff services. The Nurse Coordinator also supports the Practice Manager and staff in day-to-day operations.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs at a subject matter expert level on all nursing duties
  • Supports and maintains the policies, procedures and regulations of the practice
  • Assists in recruiting, provides training, orientation of staff, and maintains accurate staff training and competency logs including records of nursing staff licensure, CPR certifications
  • Creates and monitors staff schedules in accordance to the needs of the practice
  • Monitors patient schedules for accuracy and works collaboratively with front office team to correct errors
  • Works cooperatively with the office staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Is fully versed in EMR and digital health workflows and initiatives and stays abreast of changes and updates to provide staff the most accurate coaching and training.
  • Orders supplies and equipment, trains staff to maintain accurate PAR levels and assists the Practice Manager in arranging repair and maintenance of equipment, maintains inventory logs
  • Communicates with the Practice Manager on the status of clinic operations and staff performance

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Models and supports PediaTrust Core Values and coaches others to do the same
  • Provides coaching and training for clinical problem-solving
  • Meets with vendors and non-PediaTrust representatives at the direction of the Practice Manager
