Check-Up Schedule

Infants and Toddlers:

Babies are first seen in our office within two to five days of leaving the hospital. Then they may be seen again around 10-14 days of age to ensure adequate weight gain and address any questions or issues that may arise. Regular check-ups usually continue at the following schedule, but do vary by practice:

  • One month old
  • 2 months old
  • 4 months old
  • 6 months old
  • 9 months old
  • 12 months (1 year) old
  • 15 months old
  • 18 months old
  • 2 years old
  • 30 months (2.5 years) old
  • 3 years old

Children and Adolescents:

As recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, we suggest that children have yearly physicals beginning at age 3 years old and continuing through college. This allows us to provide complete and recommended pediatric care to your child on a regular basis, including monitoring of growth and puberty (height, weight, BMI, and blood pressure), administering appropriate vaccinations, performing recommended bloodwork (hemoglobin, lead, cholesterol), monitoring specific development (vision, language, motor skills, social skills), and addressing any concerns that exist for the child or their families.
