As part of our efforts to keep all of you as safe and healthy as possible, we will be implementing several changes at our offices effective immediately:

  • Walk-In visits will be temporarily suspended until further notice.
  • We are seeing well patients only in the Lake Forest and Barrington offices
  • Pre-screening phone calls are done to 1-3 days before your scheduled appointment to assess any illness risk
  • We ask that only one parent attend the visit and that they wear a mask; no siblings should come to the visit
  • Temperatures for parent and patient will be taken as you enter office
  • We will quickly get you back to an exam room
  • All of our staff have their temperatures taken at the start of their shift and are wearing masks all day.
  • We have enhanced our office cleaning protocols
  • We have a full supply of PPE (Personal, Protective, Equipment) in the office to use when appropriate
  • We have virtual visits available for appropriate sick visits and follow up visits

Lake Shore Pediatrics was founded in 1984 as the first all-female pediatric group in the northern suburbs of Chicago. We have now expanded to 10 clinicians, and see patients in three office locations spanning the Lake County area. Even with this growth, we strive to maintain the feel of a smaller pediatric practice.
